(This is a synopsis of above Tamil text)
Quote A narrowly conditioned and selfish mind develops six temperaments, viz. greed, anger, miserliness, immoral sexual passion, vanity and vengeance. These temperaments lead to five kinds of worst sins, viz. lying, murder, theft, gambling and promiscuity. Such deeds lead to all kinds of miseries for oneself and others. These six temperamental moods will result in problems and miseries in life. Thereby individual peace, peace of society and peace of the entire world are disturbed.- Shri Vethathiri Maharishi in his book 'Highlights of Vethathiri Model of Unified Force'
When we have calm, clear & broader mind with conscious awareness, we can maneuver these six temperaments as
Greed -> Fulfilled mind Anger -> Patience Miserliness -> Generosity Immoral sexual passion -> Chastity Vanity -> Modesty Vengeance -> Forgiveness
We can live in harmony by organising our deeds in such a way as to not cause harm to mind or body of one's own or others', at present or in future. ( Two Fold Moral Principle )
Emotions are provoked by needs, habits and circumstances. The ability to streamline our emotions based on experiences, deep thinking (analysis), righteous decisions is Consciousness. When consciousness dilates due to emotions, the self-forgetful state is known as 'Maya'. Bad deeds are the result of confused, forgetful, illusioned state of Consciousness - Maya
